Pelini is the brother of Super Bowl champion and former college football coach Bo Pelini.
He coached college football at Nebraska, Florida Atlantic University, and Bowling Green.
Pelini was arrested after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The warrant was issued after an alleged incident of domestic violence between Pelini and his wife.
Pelini’s daughter called the police in Boardman, Ohio, and said her mother was bleeding and had a black eye, according a report from WKBN TV.
Police responding to the scene said Pelini’s wife was “highly intoxicated” and claimed that Carl Pelini hit her as she and he had an argument.
The report says that Pelini was ordered to stay away from his alleged victim.
