They were arrested by federal authorities on Sunday, March 14 2021.

Khater and Tanios were found out after tipsters saw their images after the FBI released footage of the attack, taken from body camera footage from police.
Sicknick Death Connection
Khater and Tanios have not been charged in Sicknick’s death. His death has not yet been classified as a homicide.
An FBI agent in the charging documents said that based on the video, Khater and Tanios were “working in concert and had a plan to use the toxic spray against law enforcement.”
The agent also said the pair “appeared to time the deployment of chemical substances to coincide with other rioters’ efforts to forcibly remove the bike rack barriers that were preventing the rioters from moving closer to the Capitol building.”
Tanios reportedly owns a restaurant called Sandwich U in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Khater worked in State College, Pennsylvania.
