
Do-Dodonpa is a rollercoaster at Fuji-Q Highland amusement park in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi, Japan. The rollercoaster closed down after it was found that passengers had their bones broken on the ride.
Do-Dodonpa Closed After Bone Fractures. “Do-Dodonpa has now been closed to the public until further notice, following multiple reports of riders breaking their bones. According to a Vice report, at least six riders have suffered bone fractures since December 2020.” [TimesNow]

Gov’t Wanted Ride Closure So It Can Be Repaired. “The prefectural government says it has sought the ride’s suspension until the cause can be identified and a plan to prevent repeat incidents taken. Do-Dodonpa Was World’s Fastest Rollercoaster At 106mph. “The world’s fastest rollercoaster, Do-Dodonpa, which can reach speeds of 172km/h (106.9mph) in just 1.8 seconds, was shut down after several riders shattered bones.” [Yahoo]
