Marcus and Rita Buchanan were a couple from the town of Granbury, Texas. After they and their two children were found dead, police now say they suspect the case is a murder-suicide.

Marcus and Rita Buchanan Found Dead With Two Children, Murder-Suicide Suspected. “On 02-24-2022 at approximately 2:48 pm, Granbury Police Department officers were dispatched to 306 Kathy Lane for a welfare check. Officers ultimately made entry into the house, and while clearing the residence they discovered that all the residents were deceased. The residents were identified as 36-year-old Marcus Buchanan, 34-year-old Rita Buchanan, a 13-year-old female, and a 3-year-old female. All the residents were found to have suffered gunshot wounds. There was evidence at the scene that was consistent with a murder/suicide, but the final determination has yet to be concluded as this is still an active investigation. At this time, there is no evidence of anyone else being involved in this incident.” [Granbury Police]
