M’Bella Sentenced After Assault Performance. “A prominent television presenter in Ivory Coast has received a 12-month suspended sentence for promoting rape during a live broadcast. Protesters Slammed M’Bella For Trivializing Rape. “Protesters surrounded the channel’s office in the commercial capital, Abidjan, holding signs that read: “Don’t trivialize rape.” Telecom authorities suspended de M’Bella from the airwaves for 30 days.
