Shishimarin Accused Of War Crimes By Ukraine. “Vadim Shishimarin faces life in prison for allegedly killing the civilian with a Kalashnikov rifle as he fled with four other soldiers in a stolen car in a village in Sumy on February 28, just days after the start of the war. The man was pushing a bicycle by the side of the road when he was shot in the head and ‘died on the spot a few dozen metres from his home’, the Ukrainian prosecutor general said.” [Mail Online]
Shishimarin Was Commander Of Kantemirovskaya Tank Division. “Deployed as the commander of the Kantemirovskaya tank division, the man is accused of firing through a car window on the man in Sumy Oblast’s Chupakhivka village. He was driving a stolen vehicle in the area and shot down the civilian upon receiving an order directed at preventing the Ukrainian civilians from learning about their location in the region, the prosecutors said.” [Independent]
