Thomas Cox is a 58 year old man from Colorado. Police in Mesa, Arizona have accused Cox of a 30 year old cold case murder after they examined DNA evidence.

Cox Arrested On Cold Case After DNA Evidence. “According to a statement from Mesa police, “advanced DNA technologies and other investigative techniques” have led to the arrest of Thomas Cox, 58. The first crime took place on Oct. 16, 1989, when a 22-year-old woman was found dead in her apartment near Southern Avenue and Country Club Drive. Officers were called to do a welfare check at the home after she did not show up at work that morning. An investigation found the cause of the death to be asphyxiation. She had also been sexually assaulted, Mesa police said.” [AZ Republic]
