Sara King Allegations
King Accused Of Using Loan Money For Gambling. “A California lawyer allegedly stole millions of dollars from a lender, lied about where the money was going and spent it on gambling in Las Vegas, according to a federal lawsuit filed earlier this month. Sara King, who works at a Newport Beach law firm, allegedly took nearly $10.3 million from LDR International Limited, a lending company based in the British Virgin Islands and the plaintiff in the suit, saying it would go to third-party borrowers. King ran her own lending service, King Family Lending, of which she was the sole employee, according to the suit. The suit alleges King Family Lending was just a shell company and that King would get loans from LDR International Limited saying they would go to third-party borrowers who had put up collateral like yachts and jewelry.” [CBS]
King Connected To Iranian Royalty. “Kamran Pahlavi, her second husband and grandson of Iran’s Princess Ashraf, described King as having a ‘lavish lifestyle’ and being the ‘best-dressed woman’ he had ever met. The pair met in 2018 and married in 2022 after King divorced her first husband – with the duo becoming inseparable.” [Daily Mail]
Friends Accuse King Of Being “Heartless” Thief. “Amal Obaid-Schmid, a trauma surgeon in California, said that King is ‘heartless’ and has ‘no remorse and no sympathy and no regard for anybody.’ King was thrown a 39th birthday party by Obaid-Schmid at a luxury suite at the hotel, which had caviar, cupcakes with Dior’s logo on and a cake shaped like a Chanel handbag. The doctor claims that she and her husband Steffen invested $410,000 in King’s scheme promising high returns for funding third-party loans but were never repaid. She told the Daily Beast: ‘We really just want her to stop victimizing people.’ Another pal, Yumi Sturdivant said that she handed King $10,000 after they reconnected, adding: ‘She needs to be stopped. She’s not stealing only from the rich’.” [Daily Mail]
