Robert R. Byrnes Arrested. “According to court documents, Robert R. Byrnes, 84, was charged with aggravated indecent assault without consent, two counts of obstruction and two counts of official oppression. The Office of Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli said Byrnes was a chaplain for State Police through 2018 and lived above the kitchen at Christ Our Shepard Center in Greensburg. The Office of the DA said a worker at the center’s kitchen reported in March that Byrnes touched him inappropriately in May 2014. Another victim who worked in the center’s kitchen claimed that Byrnes also assaulted him in 2014. He claimed that Byrnes befriended him and began inviting him to his apartment, eventually inviting him to casinos, watching him shower and giving him alcohol, according to authorities. ” [Fox43]
