Who Is Rachel Hawes? Woman Injured By Cedar Point Rollercoaster

Rachel Hawes is a 44 year old woman from Swartz Creek, Michigan. Hawes was seriously injured by a piece of metal that fell from the Top Thrill Dragster roller coaster at Cedar Point amusement park.

The Cedar Point amusement park is located in Sandusky, Ohio and has been in operation since 1870.

Metal Hit Woman In Back Of Head. “Hawes was seriously injured August 15th at the amusement park when she was struck in the back of the head by an L-shaped bracket about the size of a person’s hand. The piece of metal dislodged and was thrown at a high rate of speed from the ride as the train returned to the station.” [WTVB]
