Paige Marie Simon is a 28 year old woman from Decatur County, South Dakota. Simon worked as a special education teacher at South Decatur High School. Police have accused Simon of stalking a student using text messages.

Simon Arrested. “The probable cause affidavit in this case states that on April 6, 2023 a detective with the DCSD was notified by Deputy Chief Blodgett of an investigation of possible child solicitation that had been reported by the parent of a minor identified as J1, and that J1 was 15 years of age at the time the alleged incidents took place. The parent said her son had been receiving inappropriate text messages from one of his teachers at South Decatur High School. J1’s father later told investigators there were approximately 600 text messages between his son and Simon, some that involved sexual content. The investigation determined that most of those texts were sent after school hours, some between 9 p.m. and midnight. The probable cause affidavit indicates that those messages included sexually explicit jokes and images.” [MORE]
Simon Accused Of Classroom Sex. “Paige Simon, 28, of Osgood, is said to have had sex with a 15-year-old student in her classroom back in early April. Afterward, she is said to have sent the boy over 600 text messages which included sexual jokes and images. That’s when the student blocked her number, but that didn’t seem to stop Simon as she is then accused of attending his baseball games.” [MORE]
Police Report Accuses Simon Of Inappropriate Touching. “The student told police that the teacher would frequently touch his arm or shoulder and once reached toward his crotch as she tried to take his phone. Police said that the student quit responding to the teacher’s messages, but she kept sending him vulgar jokes anyway. She also allegedly showed up at one of his baseball games after he blocked her number, according to court documents.” [MORE]
Simon Resigned From Her Job. “Simon was hired in November 2022 by Decatur County Schools after leaving the Jac-Cen-Del School Corporation. She resigned from her position as a special education teacher at South Decatur, effective April 10. Simon appeared at an initial hearing on Monday and was released on her own recognizance.” [MORE]
