Michael Bur is a 41 year old man from Lennon, Michigan. Bur has been accused of the 1997 cold case murder of Mary Prieur, who was beaten and suffocated.

Bur Arrested Based On Scientific Analysis. “Sheriff Chris Swanson announced Michael Bur, a 41-year-old man from Lennon, was arraigned on Thursday morning on one count of felony murder, criminal sexual conduct in the first degree, and kidnapping. Within the last 24 hours, Swanson said investigators developed a lead based on a scientific analysis. Burr was taken into custody at his home, which is very close to where Prieur’s murder happened, Swanson said.” [WNEM]
Prieur Body Found In 1997. “The body of Mary Prieur was found on Feb. 27, 1997, in Lennon. She allegedly was kidnapped from her home, dragged and left for dead. The investigation has dogged generations of investigators ever since, but nobody had been arrested for the murder until this week.” [ABC 12]
