Charron Arrested, Accused Of Marmion Academy Student Assault. “Aurora police on Wednesday arrested 66-year-old Joseph J. Charron, who is a monk of Marmion Abbey. Police allege that Charron, who is also a teacher at Marmion Academy, had sexual contact with a student and continued the non-consensual sexual conduct beyond the student’s graduation. A news release from the Aurora Police Department says Charron turned himself and was arrested without incident. The release notes that Charron is also known as Brother AndrĂ©. A statement from Marmion Abbey says that it is aware of the charges filed against Charron and that it will remain fully cooperative with the authorities.” [WSPY]
