Who Is John Frederick Carrington? Possible Serial Killer

John Frederick Carrington is a 53 year old man from Camp Springs, Maryland, Prince George’s County. Police accused Carrington of killing his mother, Johnetta Wormley. Reports also indicate Carrington’s connection to a stabbing and gas station robbery in Clinton, Maryland.

Police have also said that Carrington has been linked to three other cold case murders, which would make him a serial killer if convicted.

Carrington Arrested For Mother’s Murder. “John Frederick Carrington was taken into custody today in the District of Columbia. He remains there pending extradition to Prince George’s County.” [Prince George’s Police]

Wormley Found Dead After Welfare Check. “According to the Prince George’s County Police Department, Johnetta Wormley was found dead in a home in the 2900 block of Brinkley Road Sunday, Aug. 29, after officers went there to conduct a welfare check around 2 p.m.” [WJLA]

Police: Carrington Connected To Cold Case Murders. “Police suspect Carrington of fatally stabbing D.C. resident Charles Boulware, 29, in August of 1992, according to the Metropolitan police. They believe he also killed 42-year-old Reginald Gaither, who was found shot to death inside a car in March of 2008. Gaither lived in Alexandria, Virginia. The most recent slaying linked to Carrington is the December 2010 murder of 25-year-old James Campbell who was shot multiple times. He lived in Bladensburg, Maryland.” [Oxygen]
