Jared Washington is a high school volleyball coach at Overfelt High School in San Jose, California. Police have accused Washington of sexually abusing a minor.

Washington Arrested, Accused Of Abuse. “A girl reported Feb. 1 that she was in an “inappropriate relationship” with Washington when she was on the Stingray Volleyball Club between 2012 and 2015, according to police. Detectives also discovered other possible victims and witnesses, who told police that they were subjected to similar “inappropriate activities” and grooming during the same time period, authorities said.” [Mercury News]
Charges Filed Against Washington. “On February 28th, 2022, suspect Washington was arrested in San José and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on one count of Lewd and Lascivious acts on a minor age 14 or 15 (Felony) — 288 (c)(1).” [SJPD]
Washington Previously Worked At Other San Jose Schools. “Washington previously worked as a volleyball coach at Independence High School, Evergreen High School and Stingray Volleyball Club in San José and is currently employed at Overfelt High School in the City of San José.” [SJPD]
