Ziegler Arrested, Accused Of Assault. “A teacher at Pittsburgh’s Faison K-5 School is facing charges related to an alleged sexual assault of a student. According to a criminal complaint, an unnamed 4th-grade victim alleges their teacher, 41-year-old James Ziegler, forced the student to perform sexual acts during lunch detentions. The complaint alleges there were multiple incidents of assault.” [WTAE]
Report Alleges Detention Was Used To Stage Assaults. “According to the criminal complaint, the child came forward in late December and said Mr. Ziegler, who had been a teacher but took over as assistant principal at Pittsburgh Faison Dec. 1, assaulted the student multiple times during lunch detention starting at the beginning of the school year. The child told police Mr. Ziegler “did something bad to me” and “kept bringing me up for lunch detention,” according to the complaint.” [Post Gazette]
