Hitt Accused Of Assault, Battery On Student. “An Upstate teacher was arrested after being accused of assaulting a 6-year-old student, according to an incident report. Frances Hitt, a first grade teacher at Dr. Benjamin E. Mays Elementary School is charged with third-degree assault and battery, the report said. The report said on Monday, July 25, a school resource officer at a different school got a call about an incident with Hitt. A student and the student’s mother told the SRO that Hitt snatched a chair from underneath the student as he was sitting at his desk.” [WYFF]
