Daniels Accused Of Being Green Gaiter Bandit, Robbing At Least 12 Banks. “Daniels appeared in federal court Monday after he was charged with robbing or attempting to rob four banks: U.S. Bank in Mission Viejo on Jan. 7; Wells Fargo Bank in Placentia on Jan. 21; Chase Bank in Fullerton on Jan. 21; and Bank of the West in Fullerton on Jan. 27. The criminal complaint filed against Daniels sates he is also a suspect in at least eight other robberies.” [KTLA]
FBI Links Green Gaiter Bandit To 12 Bank Robberies. “Since October 2021 to as recent as Jan. 27, 2022, there were 19 bank robberies or attempted robberies involving a suspect described as a white male, between 50 and 60 years old, entering various banks and demanding cash or loose bills, according to authorities. The suspected Green Gaiter Bandit has been linked to at least 12 of the robberies committed during that time, the FBI said in a news release.” [Daily News]
