Police Accuse Simmons Of Bank Robberies, Leading Police On Chase. “Police are searching for a Seabrook man accused of robbing banks in York, Maine, and Newburyport, Massachusetts, before leading police on a chase. Officials said an officer stopped Brandon Simmons, 34, in Salisbury, Massachusetts, just before 5 p.m. on Monday afternoon.” [WMUR]
Simmons Accused Of Hitting Cop During Escape Attempt. “The officer stopped and approached the van, and Simmons is accused of striking the officer in the face and attempting to flee. Fowler said the officer struggled with Simmons to keep the vehicle in park, but Simmons was able to shift the vehicle and speed off.” [WCVB]
Police: Simmons Seen In White Utility Van. “Police say he did not show a weapon, though Massachusetts State Police say he did claim to have a bomb. Nobody was hurt in the incident.
