Cookston Stone Arrested, Accused Of Abuse. “A youth church leader in north Alabama has been arrested after authorities said she sexually abused a 15-year-old high school student. Allison Brianna Cookston Stone, 26, of Albertville, was arrested Wednesday and charged with second-degree sodomy and second-degree sexual abuse, Marshall County Sheriff Phil Sims said.” [AP]
Police: Cookston Stone Accused Of Relationship With Teen. “Marshall County Sheriff Phil Sims said during a press conference Thursday Stone – a youth leader at Church of God of Union Assembly – had allegedly been in a months-long relationship with a 15-year-old Boaz High School student who was a member of her youth group. She was charged with second-degree sodomy and second-degree sexual abuse and taken to the Marshall County Jail where she was able to post a $60,000 property bond late Wednesday night, Sims said.” [Sand Mountain Reporter]
Police: Tip Led To Arrest. “Sims said the sheriff’s office received a tip from a concerned local resident and began an investigation. Based on what they learned from that probe — which included a forensic interview with the victim at the Child Advocacy Center and an interview with the accused — the decision was made to charge Stone.” [Gadsen Times]
