Koester Accused Of Sexual Abuse of Minor. “According to a police report filed in Monroe County, Koester reportedly sexually abused a child under the age of 12. Iowa DCI clarified that the charges are not connected to Koester’s job as a head coach.” [KCCI]
Koester Charged For Multiple Allegations. “Koester was charged with two counts of second-degree sexual abuse, a class B felony; and two counts of third-degree sexual abuse, a class C felony. He was arrested in Indiana on Sept. 3 and extradited back to Albia on Sept. 5. He remains in custody on a $200,000 bond at the Monroe County Jail.” [Ottumwa Courier]

Albia School District “Aware” Of Charges. “We are aware of the criminal charges against Aaron Koester, a former employee. The Albia School Board accepted Mr. Koester’s resignation on May 12, 2021, and the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners accepted Mr. Koester’s surrender of license on June 25, 2021.
