Tropical Storm Henri made landfall near Westerly, Rhode Island on August 22 2021 and caused thousands of people to lose power. Locals said the storm caused downed trees.
Thousands of people in Connecticut and New Jersey reported power outages from the storm.
More than 140,000 people in the northeast lost power because of Henri.

New York
The We Love NYC homecoming concert in central park was canceled due to Henri. 60,000 people were sent home as a result. A video of singer Barry Manilow being cut off mid-song due to the cancellation went viral.
Henri rained 1.9 inches of rain on Central Park from 10pm to 11pm on August 21, the most rain recorded in an hour in New York since 1869.
Maine
A high surf advisory was issued for the coast of Maine, with officials saying they expected breaking waves of between 5-7 feet from the storm.
