Golas Accused Of Stealing $675,000. “An ex-employee of a Monroe County cable manufacturer allegedly embezzled $675,000 from the business, according to the Monroe County District Attorney’s office. Stephen Golas, 34, of Kunkletown, took the money from MegaPhase LLC between January 2015 and December 2020, according to a news release.” [Lehigh Valley Live]
Police: Square Account Used To Steal Money. “Detectives say he charged a company credit card to a Square account and then forged documents to make the charges look legitimate.” [WNEP]
DA: Golas Confessed To Theft. “When questioned about the allegations, Golas confessed to stealing from Megaphase and covering it up by creating false documents, the DA’s office said. Golas was arraigned and released on $100,000,00 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing will be set at a later date.” [WFMZ]
