Gerald Lopez Accused Of Misconduct By El Cajon Police. “The allegation surfaced on June 14, according to the Grossmont Union High School District, and were brought to the attention of law enforcement and Child Welfare Services. “We then conducted a prompt and thorough investigation. As a result, the employee no longer works for the Grossmont Union High School District,” school officials said in a statement Wednesday night.” [10 News]
School Officials: “Disturbing” Allegations Surfaced June 2022. “Allegations against the teacher first surfaced June 14, according to a previous statement from school district officials that called the allegations “very disturbing.” District personnel immediately notified the El Cajon Police Department and Child Welfare Services, and the teacher was placed on unpaid leave, according to district officials. El Cajon police Lt. Randy Soulard confirmed in a June 15 email that police were investigating the allegations, but he did not provide details beyond what the school district released at the time. School District Says Granite Hills Teacher Put On Leave. “”Anytime allegations of misconduct are brought forward, the District takes those allegations very seriously. A prompt and thorough investigation follows. In the event of actual misconduct, the District takes appropriate disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.
