Alexandria Allen is a 25-year-old substitute teacher who is accused of assaulting an eighth grade student in Kentucky. She worked for Scott County Schools.
Allen taught at Royal Spring Middle School in Georgetown, Kentucky. She was arrested by police on January 4 2021.
Accusation And Arrest
Allen is accused of having sex with a 15-year-old boy at a motel. The charging documents for her arrest allege that Allen came in contact with the 15-year-old boy at the school while in a position of authority or public trust. The boy no longer attends the school.
Charging documents accusing Allen of rape say she met the teen at the Hilton Garden Inn in Georgetown between March and October of 2020.
The boy’s mother alerted police after she reportedly found nude photos and videos of Allen on her son’s cellphone.
“I was disgusted because you’re supposed to be helping him and she wasn’t helping him at all,” she told police.
Allen had been working as the boy’s tutor during the time of the alleged inappropriate contact.
Allen Pleas Not Guilty
In court, Allen’s attorney entered a plea of not guilty on her behalf. The judge issued a bond of $2,500 and ordered that Allen cannot have contact with the alleged victim. Allen has to go back to court for a preliminary hearing on February 2.
Evidence Against Her, Fallout
Georgetown Assistant Police Chief Darin Allgood said his department is “confident” of the charges against Allen and told a news outlet, “She was a substitute teacher at a middle school here in town and that’s how they met.”
Scott County Schools confirmed that Allen “was hired as a substitute teacher in January of 2020.” The school district said after the arrest, “Ms. Allen is prohibited from working in Scott County Schools.”
