America also has the most COVID-19 deaths in the world, with over 163,000. The next closest is Brazil, with over 101,000 deaths.
Indonesia, who has a population of 267 million and is the closest to the U.S. population, has by comparison 5,765 COVID-19 deaths and 127,000 infections.
