Role In Capitol Attack
Gosar encouraged supporters of Donald Trump before the January 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol. In comments captured on video before a rally, Gosar said, “You get to go back home once we conquer the Hill. Donald Trump is returned to being president.” Five people were killed later that day in the attack.
