WATCH: Trump Launches 2017 Defending Russians, Ranting About Computers

Donald Trump began 2017 on a similar note to how he ended 2016: Defending the Russian government.

In a brief statement on his way to a New Years’ Eve party, Trump again cast doubts on reports from U.S. intelligence agencies who have traced attempts to sway the 2016 presidential election to Russia.

Trump claimed that no form of computer communication is secure, and that couriers with hard copies should be used instead. Trump also argued that it is still impossible to know if Russians made the attacks, echoing his previous defenses of Vladimir Putin’s autocratic regime.
