A major gun auction site has been caught selling Nazi and Ku Klux Klan gear in an undercover investigation.
NBC 4 New York’s I-Team found the materials for sale on GunBroker.com, who describes itself as the world’s largest gun auction website. The National Rifle Association’s Foundation has used GunBroker.com to auction items in fundraisers.

The NRA Foundation recently announced plans to sell an NRA-branded airboat on the site. Sarah Engeset, NRA Director of Volunteer Fundraising, said in a statement: “We continuously look for ways to provide special firearms, one-of-a-kind vehicles and experiences to bidders that provide invaluable benefits to The NRA Foundation, and we truly believe this airboat will turn heads and bring in immense interest on Gunbroker.com.”
On GunBroker.con, the reporters found a KKK officer robe, a new KKK Gut Hook Neck Knife laser engraved with “Brotherhood of White America,” and a 3-foot-by-5-foot Nazi flag.
Oren Segal, director of the Anti-Defamation League’s Center for Extremism, told NBC: “The notion that somebody can access the hate that is sort of underscoring a lot of what we’re seeing – and at the same time be able to buy a gun is just an unnecessary one-stop shop for people.”
A few months ago the same site was used by George Zimmerman to try and sell the gun he used to kill Trayvon Martin. After the sale attracted negative publicity, the site took the sale down.
GunBroker.com claims that nearly $3 billion in sales passed through its site in 2014.
