Is Megyn Kelly Leaving Fox News?

Fox News host Megyn Kelly may be considering leaving the right wing news network.

Kelly is currently negotiating her contract with Fox News, after working at the network since 2004. Kelly’s contract with Fox News pays her $9 million a year, but that deal was in place before she began hosting her prime time show The Kelly File, which airs at 9PM every weeknight.

Kelly reportedly is negotiating for a deal closer to $15-20 million, which would be similar to the contract the network has with Bill O’Reilly, host of its most watched program, The O’Reilly Factor at 8PM.

In addition to Fox, it has been rumored that Kelly could possibly switch networks and host a show on CNN. Kelly has been sighted speaking to members of CNN staff while she covered the Republican Convention in Cleveland in the summer of 2016.

She recently released a memoir Settle for More, in which she discusses the details of alleged sexual harassment she encountered with Fox News creator and former chairman, Roger Ailes. Kelly alleges that Ailes repeatedly made inappropriate remarks to her and asked her about things like the color of her bra. After a lawsuit from former Fox anchor Gretchen Carlson, Ailes was fired by Fox News and given a multi-million dollar severance package.

Kelly could leave Fox after all the controversy and receive a contract worth millions of dollars, or she could choose to remain at Fox and make a lot of money. She is one of the highest rated hosts on the network, and despite repeatedly slanting the news in a conservative position, remains one of its most popular and visible hosts.
