Video of Donald Trump’s comments on veterans and PTSD
At an event on October 3, 2016 organized by Retired American Warriors Pac, Trump attacked military combat veterans with post-traumatic stress disease (PTSD). He said some soldiers suffering from PTSD are not “strong” and “can’t handle it.”
Trump’s full comment on veterans with PTSD: “When people come back from war and combat and they see maybe what the people in this room have seen many times over, and you’re strong and you can handle it, but a lot of people can’t handle it.”
Trump received four draft deferments, allowing him to avoid serving in the Vietnam War.
