Gavin Eugene Long Identified As Baton Rouge Police Shooter (PHOTOS)

29 year old Gavin Eugene Long has been identified by police as the man who shot and killed three police officers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was born in July 17, 1987.

Long identified himself on social media as “Cosmo Setepenra” and “described himself as a life coach, nutritionist, and personal trainer.”

He also posted videos of himself ranting about police violence.

NBC News reports that the man is from Kansas City, Missouri.

Authorities indicate that he was a member of a right wing militia. The Wall Street Journal has named the group as the “New Freedom Group,” a so-called Sovereign Citizen group.

Police were reportedly lured to the scene of the crime by a 9-1-1 call. 6 officers were shot, with 3 killed and 3 injured.
