Alicia Machado: Trump Verbally Abused Me

When Machado gained 40lbs after winning Miss Universe, she claimed that Trump began bullying her and invited media outlets to watch her working out without telling her they would be there.

At the time, Trump complained to reporters: ‘She weighed 118 pounds or 117 pounds and she went to 160 or 170. So this is somebody that likes to eat.’

Machado said that she suffered from bulimia and anorexia for five years as a result.

‘He hates girls. He considers girls to be less. We have another status to him. He made me feel small. He threatened me, treated me rudely. He called me ‘Ms. Housekeeping’ in front of his friends,’ she told an online publication.

Machado is one of several women that Trump has interacted with over his career to claim that he made sexist and misogynistic comments to them.

Trump History Of Misogyny

Trump also complained that Fox anchor Megyn Kelly was “bleeding” from her “whatever” when she challenged him in a Republican debate. He has also on occasion made lewd sexual comments about his own daughter, Ivanka Trump.

In response to these statements being publicized, Trump has usually blamed the media. He has also insisted that he is very popular with women. In fact, polls have shown that Trump is poised to do extraordinarily poorly with female voters in the election, and only remains a viable candidate due to support from white, male voters.

In fact, several online misogynists have voiced their support for the Trump campaign, and merchandise with the phrase “Trump That Bitch” regularly sells well outside of Trump rallies.
