Hoopes first appeared in the 2014 edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, which was also the 50th anniversary of the magazine.

She has also modeled for Guess and Levi Jeans.

She appeared in the June 2014 edition of Maxim Magazine, and was ranked 18th in that magazine’s 2014 list of the 100 Hottest women in the world.

Hoopes was also a correspondent for MTV’s Guy Code.

Hoopes says that she “loves” field hockey, and played it in middle school. By high school she was already modeling so she had to stop the sport: “I played in middle school but not in high school. Since I was modeling, they told me not to mess with field hockey because I would always get bruises.”

Her favorite basketball player is Blake Griffin (in a TMZ video, Hoopes sent a message to Griffin, saying they should “bang”).

She has described the song “Low Life” by The Weeknd as her “guilty pleasure.”

Hoopes told Esquire that her go-to drink at a bar is “Tequila with ginger-ale and an orange slice.”

Samantha Hoopes understands that time is short in the world of modeling. She told OnWardState in an interview, “People close to me say modeling’s not forever and I agree with them, but I also think the time is now or never so I’d rather have now to look back on rather than never have done it,” and added, “I’ve always lived in my house under my parents roof. Then when I moved to Hollywood last year, I felt so liberated and like a different person. I could wake up and choose what I wanted to do. For once in my life I’m following my heart instead of doing what people tell me to do.”

Hoopes appeared almost nude in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. In one photo shoot she appears with a painted on rainbow bikini, which is a recreation of the Ipanema Wear bikini worn by Elle MacPherson in the 1989 edition of the magazine.

In an interview with Fox News about the ad she said, “Sex is amazing. Sex sells and I love being a sexy woman. I think it’s powerful. I think it’s the most powerful thing you can have and it’s sad that women look down on girls who have confidence and all of that.”
