French President François Hollande presented the Legion of Honor, France’s highest award, to the four men – one British, two American – who disarmed the gunman on a train, saving lives. Hollande told the men, “Your heroism will serve as an example and a source of inspiration to many. Faced with the evil that is terrorism, there is some good: humanity. That is what you embody.”
Airman Spencer Stone, 23, Alek Sklartos, 22, Oregon National Guard, Anthony Sadler, 23, and Chris Norman, 62, a British consultant, were honored.
