Ryan Seacrest’s heavily promoted Knock Knock Live has been canceled after airing only two episodes.
The show’s absurd premise was that Seacrest would surprise viewers at their doors with celebrity guests, prizes and the like. It didn’t seem to make any sense and America felt the same way.
The ratings were terrible. Knock Knock Live averaged a 0.6 rating and 1.75 million viewers and was reportedly one of the lowest performing debut shows in the history of the Fox network.
Despite his reputation as the Golden Boy, not everything Seacrest touches turns to gold. Fox will instead run comedy repeats in place of Knock Knock Live.
Don’t cry for Seacrest. He’s the producer of the Kardashians and their spinoff shows, which are a cash cow for the DJ turned TV personality.
