Medical marijuana is coming to the media capital of the world, so stand by to hear about it forever.
Following in the footsteps of California and Colorado, New York has awarded 5 licenses to companies to dispense medical marijuana. That means that within at least 6 months, it will be available in New York City. I’m betting they make a lot of money.
The NY Times reports: “The marijuana outlets were authorized by the Compassionate Care Act signed by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, a Democrat, in July 2014, and the decision on the registrations was issued after what the Health Department called a ‘rigorous and comprehensive’ review of prospective purveyors of the drug.”
It’s going to be weird 10-15 years from now when the era of marijuana prohibition in America is seen as anachronistic as alcohol prohibition is now.
