Top Gear Team Signs Deal With Amazon Prime For New TV Show

Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond – Amazon Prime

The Top Gear team – Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond – are coming to Amazon Prime.

Amazon announced that the trio – bounced from the BBC after a physical altercation between Jeremy Clarkson and a member of the production crew – had been signed to produce a new car themed show for the online network. Their previous show, Top Gear, combines car news and comedy and has been one of the most watched television shows in the world.

All three also announced the deal on their Twitter feeds this morning.

On working with Amazon, Clarkson said: “I feel like I’ve climbed out of a bi-plane and into a spaceship.” May added: “We have become part of the new age of smart TV. Ironic, isn’t it?” Hammond joked: “Amazon? Oh yes. I have already been there. I got bitten by a bullet ant.”
